The international medical forum, “University Science.Innovations”, one of the most significant events in the field of medicine and science, was held on 2 February 2023. The event took place as part of “Health Day” during the exhibition forum “Russia” held at VDNH.

At the ceremony honoring the winners of the All-Russia scientific and practical contest “Relay of University Science,” the Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko, and the Rector of Sechenov University, Peter Glybochko, presented awards to the young scientists who had won the contest “Relay of University Science – 2024.”

Mikhail Murashko commented: “The entries were carefully selected – the scientists have reached an award-winning stage. I would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in the competition and those who evaluated the submissions. And, of course, a special word of gratitude to the winners and their advisors. A number of the entries submitted by our contest participants are truly at the forefront of science – everything that academia, researchers, and heads of institutions have discussed has, in fact, been picked up and developed by these young, talented individuals.”

Visampasha Khanaliyev, the Rector of Dagestan State Medical University, Ministry of Health, Russian Federation, and Naida Mollayeva, Vice-Rector for Research, were invited to participate in the forum. The Minister of Health, Mikhail Murashko, presented the award to the Rector, recognizing Dagestan State Medical University as the base institution for the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Competition “Relay of University Research” in 2024. The university was selected as the institution that submitted the highest number of research projects among the universities in the North Caucasian Federal District.

The winners from Dagestan State Medical University are:  

Naira Omarova – Assistant at the Department of Endocrinology, 2nd place winner in the field of “Clinical Research in Endocrinology”, project “The role of polymorphic variants of the vitamin D receptor gene in the development of coronary artery atherosclerosis in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus”

Kamilla Akmurzaeva – Assistant of the Department of Endocrinology, winner of the 3rd place in the field of “Clinical Trials in Endocrinology”, the project “The Role and Place of a Personalized Approach in the Effective and Safe Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus”.

Representatives of DSMU also visited the stand of the Republic of Dagestan within the framework of the international exhibition-forum “Russia”, stylized as the Derbent citadel of Naryn-Kala.

Work on the organization of the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Event “Relay of University Science” at the university is carried out by the Department of Intellectual Property of DSMU.
