In Dagestan, under the auspices of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, the Sports Contest of higher educational institutions of the republic is held. RD university students compete in 9 sports: track and field, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton, mini-football, tug of war, darts, chess. Almost all universities of the republic take part in the competitions.
Competitions in track and field athletics and badminton have already been held. The track and field competitions were held on April 8-10 at the E. Isinbayeva Stadium. According to the results of the competition, the students of DSMU took the second place. The first place was taken by the DSU team, the third-by the DSPU.
On April 17-18, the badminton championship was held in the sports complex of the Dagestan State Medical University as part of the Sports Contest. During the intense games, the first place was taken by the team of DSMU, II – DSU, III-DagSAU.
The winners and prize-winners will be awarded at the end of all sports competitions. In addition to individual sports, the overall result of the competition will be summed up, after which the strongest sports university of the republic will be determined.
