Interregional volunteer educational forum of medical educational institutions “Vector of good” started on November 24 in the walls of Dagestan State Medical University.
Rector DSMU Suleyman Mammaev, the first Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan Republic A.Karibov, Deputy Director of the Department of medical education and personnel policy in health care Ministry of health of the Russian Federation A. Tarasenko, executive director of the Russian public movement “Volunteers doctors” Maxim Samoshest, Chairman of the Committee on health and social policy National Assembly of Dagestan V. Khanaliev, Deputy of the National Assembly of Dagestan, the regional coordinator of the party project “United Russia”, “Healthy future” Zumrud Buchaeva, the Minister of health Dagestan Republic Jamaludin Gadzhibekov, Minister of youth affairs of Dagestan Republic Kamil Saidov and others participated in this forum.
More than 80 medical volunteers from different cities of Russia came to Dagestan to participate in the forum: Stavropol, Astrakhan, Krasnodar, Vladikavkaz, Grozny, Nalchik, Kislovodsk, etc.
Within the framework of the forum, the solemn opening of the football field with artificial turf and the youth center of the University took place in DSMU. Before the event, the rector of DSMU Suleiman Mamayev showed the guests the history museum of the University, where they had a small tour and talked about the glorious history of the University.
 The forum was opened by the rector of DSMU Suleiman Mamayev, who welcomed all volunteers who came to participate in the event. “Anton Chekhov said that the profession of a doctor is a feat that requires self-sacrifice, purity of soul and purity of thoughts. Those who decided to become a medic, always and everywhere should be ready to help. We must do good to those who are near us. And I am very pleased that we have this year of volunteer in the Russian Federation in our University, we are completing such a large-scale forum. I urge everyone to do more good, “- the rector said.
He thanked his colleagues-heads of educational institutions, who sent their medical volunteers to participate in the forum, and noted that the program of the event is quite rich and will definitely appeal to its participants.
The rector also expressed gratitude to the Federal center for the development of volunteerism in the field of health of the Ministry of health of Russia represented by the Director of the center George Nadareishvili, the team “Volunteers-doctors”, who takes part in the forum and all who are involved in this event.
Anatoly Karibov said in his speech that the development of volunteerism in Dagestan has been going on for 10 years: “All these years the values of volunteerism, the culture of socially-oriented activities of citizens have been spreading in the Republic. Every year the number of young people volunteers who represent our Republic at many interregional and international forums such as Mashuk, the Territory of meanings, Tavrida, the Caspian and others.
 Thanks to sincere, sincere acts of volunteers, trust, respect, mutual support develops in our society . I am very happy to take part in such a multi-level, multi-faceted forum and I think that it will become a tradition. I want to wish success and good to all participants and guests.”
A.Tarasenko also spoke at the opening ceremony of the forum who read out a welcome address to the participants of the event from the Deputy Minister of health of the Russian Federation Oleg Salagay: “Today volunteering in the field of health care remains an effective tool for the implementation of civil, personal and professional potential of educational institutions, medical personnel, as well as citizens interested in volunteering in health care. Volunteering creates positive life values and responsibility for the country, increases trust between the state and the public, creates a sense of ownership.
A. Tarasenko noted that volunteering is a unique phenomenon on the one hand and a natural one on the other. “This year was declared the year of volunteerism by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, and today’s forum is held within its framework. In my opinion, volunteering is a genetic need of the peoples of Russia. The number of volunteers in health care increases every year. It is very important that such forums allow us to unite with you, tell us how we can realize our volunteer potential. It is very important that you in the format of round tables, communication, lectures, allows more and more people to properly provide volunteer assistance. I wish you interesting communication, new friends. We, in the Ministry of health, are always waiting for your ideas and are ready to implement them,” he stressed.
 Greeting from the President of “Volunteer doctors” Pavel Savchuk Maxim Samoset red : “Caring, compassion, willingness to help by all the world, to serve the Fatherland – all these qualities in the soul, the nature and culture of the multinational population of our country. Today, medical volunteers from the South and North Caucasus Federal districts meet at the DSMU. The children have a unique opportunity to exchange experience and best practices of volunteer projects in the field of health care, gain new knowledge and improve their organizational skills. I want to thank you for your sincere, selfless work and sincere desire to help people, for your willingness to give your time and energy for the common cause. I wish to continue on the chosen path, fruitful work and new ideas, because the vector of good has already been set.” B M. Samoshest expressed confidence that the forum will not go unnoticed and in the walls of DSMU and on the hospitable Dagestan land a great new interregional project will be born that could eventually become all-Russan and will unite together many caring young people with a single idea and will bring much benefit to the Republic, the North Caucasus Federal district and the entire country.
V.Khanaliev, J. Gadzhiibragimov, Kamil Saidov, Deputy Minister of education and science of Daghestan Republic Arslan Bachiev, Professor of Harvard University, a doctor of the world Hassan Baiev and others also spoke during the opening ceremony of the forum . All of them noted the importance of volunteering in the field of health care, stressed the timeliness, relevance and importance of this forum, wished all the participants fruitful work, new acquaintances, ideas and achievements.
During the opening ceremony, the rector’s gratitude was awarded to the students of the Medical College of DSMU Jamila Kazimova, who took II place in the competence of “Medical and social care” IV National championship on professional skills among disabled people and persons with disabilities “Abilimpiks”. She received the award from S. Mamaev and A. Tarasenko.
From the all-Russian public movement “Volunteers-doctors” gratitudes were awarded . So, S. Mamaev was presented by gratitude for the development and support of the Dagestan branch ” Volunteers- doctors” and the organization of the forum “Vector of kindness”. Thanks went to Jamaludin Gadzhibekov, Kamil Ramazanov, as well as staff and students DGMU for volunteer activity and the organization of this forum.
Ended the ceremony with a demonstration of a short film on volunteering in DSMU.
In the program of the forum, which lasts three days – from 24 to 26 November, is planned a large number of events. These are trainings on team spirit formation, team building, donation development, social design; master classes on self-organization and in the simulation accreditation center of DSMU; interactive role-playing game “Case of life of a medical volunteer”; case-session “Creation of projects From A to Z”; round table “Integration of medical volunteers in medical institutions. Possible difficulties and ways to overcome them»; discussion platform “Trends and prospects of medical volunteering at the interregional level”, visit to the boarding house for mentally retarded children “Care” and the boarding house for the elderly and disabled “Veteran”, excursion to the Museum “Russia-my history”, a trip to Derbent.
