On Saturday, March 20, 2021, the Dagestan State Medical University hosted the semifinal stage of the All-Russian Student Olympiad with international participation in hominal physiology “Human matrix” 2021, dedicated to Cosmonautics Day.

The Olympiad was organized by the leadership of the university, the head of the department of hominal physiology of Dagestan State Medical University was appointed responsible with the support of the department of grants and innovations, the institute of electronic medical education, the student scientific society and the student scientific circle of the department of normal physiology “Physioland.” The Olympiad were attended by 24 teams from medical universities in Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and the People’s Republic of Lugansk.

The chairman of the jury in the Olympiad was the head of the department of hominal physiology Razin Ragimov.

Vice-rector for academic work Jamilya Omarova addressed the participants and organizers of the Olympiad on behalf of the rector of the DSMU Suleiman Mamaev, who emphasized the importance of knowledge of hominal physiology for the future professional activities of the doctor. Also, the director of the Guild of Experts in the Field of Vocational Education addressed with welcoming words, Editor-in-Chief of Accreditation in Education, Vice-President of the Asia-Pacific Education Quality Assurance Network, Doctor of Medical Sciences G.N. Motova and Honorary Professor of the Scientific and Educational Medical Cluster of the North Caucasus Federal District – “North Caucasus,” Director of the Border Conditions Clinic of StSMU, Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Medical Psychology of StSMU, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor I.V. Boev, and others.

The competitive program of the Olympic Games began with “Video greeting” of teams. In her participants should present the team. Further under a monitoring system of Proctoring the participants passed a competition in the form of computer testing in Moodle. The competitions “Physioscopy” (Moodle) and Zoom became new test for teams. In them teams showed the theoretical knowledge in the field of normal physiology, both in individual, and in a command format.

According to the results of the Olympiad, 13 teams were selected for the final stage: Stavropol SMU, First Moscow SMU I.I. Sechenov, Andijan SMI, Hrodna SMU, Kyrgyz SMA I.K. Akhhunbayev, Dagestan SMU, Kuban SMU, Kirov SMU, Samara SMU, Mari SMU, Chechen SU, Orenburg SMU.

Dagestan State Medical University congratulates students on high results and waits for the meeting in the final of the Olympics, which will be held on April 9, 2021!
