On Wednesday, November 17 at the National Library of the Republic of Dagestan named after Rasul Gamzatov summed up the results of the Republican contest “PROdvizhenie”, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs with the aim of developing and popularizing the activities of youth media. It was attended by about 30 young Dagestanis, including the head of the Sector of the Youth Media Center of Dagestan State Medical University Dina Balgishieva.

The event was opened by the Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan Kamil Saidov. He greeted the contestants, urged them not to stop there and try their hand at the district and federal venues. “We have been holding this competition by tradition for several years. I am glad that we are developing youth media and we for our part, will support them by holding such contests. Thanks to all the representatives of youth media who show and tell about the active life that Dagestani youth live. I wish all participants success in promoting their projects and all the best!”, – said Saidov.

The competition was held in four categories, including: “Youth media project”, “Best story about a youth event”, “Big Stuff” and “New Media”. The works in the nominations involved the creation and/or maintenance of a media resource focused on coverage of topical youth topics, coverage of youth events on regional or federal television and mass media, as well as maintaining a public or a page on social networks about the implementation of youth policy in the republic.

As part of the final, the participants who passed the qualifying stage presented their competitive works to the expert commission. It consisted of the finalist of the “Topblog” contest Patimat Omarova, expert of the Public Chamber of RD Dalgat Magomedov, TV and radio presenter of the media holding “Surf” Azim Davydov, acting Chairman of the Open Youth Government of the RD Ali Mahmudov, employee of the Ministry of Education and Science of RD Mariana Luguyeva. When evaluating the works, the jury members took into account the use of creative and youth approaches by the author, as well as the relevance of projects for students and working youth of Dagestan.

According to the results of the competition, Dina Balgishieva took the first place in the nomination “The best story about a youth event”. The winner received a cash certificate for 70 thousand rubles and was awarded with memorable gifts.
