A meeting was held between 5-6 year students of the university and a graduate of DSMU Bagautdin Bagandov, who graduated from the university with honors with a score of 5.0 on January 9, 2024, at the Department of Hospital Therapy No. 1 of Dagestan State Medical University.

At the meeting, Bagandov shared with the students about his participation in various Olympiads, thanks to which today he is undergoing a state-funded residency on the basis of the Federal Center for Neurosurgery of Novosibirsk at the highest level, with practice and equipment.

In particular, he took part in the following Olympiads: the All-Russian Olympiad in Neurosurgery in the Federal Center for Neurosurgery in Novosibirsk, where out of 60 people he took the 8th place; All-Russian Olympiad in Neurosurgery at Tyumen State Medical University: 1st place in theory in neurosurgery, 2nd place in nerve suture, 3rd place in interactive Pirogov table; All-Russian Olympiad with International Participation in Surgery named after Academician Perelman (final stage) in Moscow at Sechenov University: Peripheral Neurosurgery – 1st place, cranioectomy – 1st place; All-Russian Olympiad in Therapy Russian Scientific Medical Society of Therapists in Makhachkala – 1st place; All-Russian Olympiad with international participation at the North-Western State Medical University named after I. I. Mechnikov (Diploma in the nomination “Doctor of the Future”) –out of 1820+ people – 26th place (online Olympiad); International Olympiad in Neurosurgery at the Federal Center for Neurosurgery in Tyumen – he took 1st place, the prize was a free residency at the Department of Neurosurgery of Sechenov University, the clinical base of the Federal Center for Neurosurgery in Tyumen), where he subsequently entered.

In conclusion, B. Bagandov expressed his gratitude to his university, its management and teachers for the excellent base, wonderful years of study and invaluable knowledge that he acquired in his native alma mater.
