On the eve of the New Year, Acting Rector Visampash Khanaliev met with students from foreign countries. The event was attended by Acting Vice-Rector for Medical Work Magomed Khamidov, Acting Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Digital Transformation Jamila Omarova, Acting Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Socio-Educational Work Elmira Abieva, Head of the Department of International Relations Sazhida Khajalieva and other university staff. Currently, more than 200 international students from 35 countries study at DSMU. Such meetings have already become traditional and take place in a warm informal atmosphere.

Visampasha Khanaliev got acquainted with the living conditions of the students, gave the commandants instructions on how to eliminate some of the comments. Also, the acting rector talked with the students living in the dormitory, listened to them and noted that the university administration is trying to arrange life in the dormitories so that it was comfortable to everyone.

“DSMU is an international university, one of the oldest universities in Russia, representatives of different countries study and studied here. Our task is to give you a decent education, comfortable living conditions, and a rich student life.” -Visampasha Khanaliev emphasized in his speech.

Students will celebrate the New Year in the dormitory. Visampasha Khanaliev congratulated the children on the upcoming New Year, wished them success in

their studies, presented diplomas to students who distinguished themselves in their studies and public life of the university. The awarding process was observed by the parents of students online on the Zoom platform. They thanked the university management for their attention and support, addressed their children with warm wishes and instructions.

In turn, the students thanked the management for the created conditions, the provided support and the opportunity to enroll and be part of Dagestan Medical University. They organized a festive concert with songs, dances of different peoples expressing culture, traditions and ethnic identity.
