Conference “Inflammatory bowel disease and comorbidity”

On April 23, the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Inflammatory bowel diseases and comorbidity” was held. The conference was attended by the staff of the Department of Hospital Therapy №1 of Dagestan State Medical University, doctors of the Republican Clinical Hospital named after A.V. Vishnevsky, primary care physicians, district doctors of polyclinics. And also in the online mode of the conference participants were welcomed by Professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia Elena Poluektova.

On behalf of the Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev, Professor of the Department of Hospital Therapy №1 Suleiman Mammaev made a welcoming speech. He emphasized the high urgency of this problem and the fact that today in all areas, including therapy, the issues of comorbid pathology are actively discussed – these are cardiovascular diseases, musculoskeletal system, as well as diseases of the intestine, skin, etc.

In the reports were voiced modern possibilities of diagnostics, treatment and prevention of inflammatory bowel diseases.

Then the floor was given to Gulbariyat Abakarova, Head of the Gastroenterology Department of the Republican Clinical Hospital, Chief Outside Specialist Gastroenterologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan, with a report on “Morbidity and mortality from diseases of the digestive organs in the Republic of Dagestan”.

Elena Poluektova made a report “Treatment and prevention of antibiotic-associated diarrhea”, shared the experience of the clinic on how they made a differential diagnosis between Crohn’s disease and antibiotic-associated disease in a patient.

Next were the reports: “Modern possibilities of diagnostics and treatment of ICD” – Suleiman Mammaev; “Intestinal microbiota and atopic deramatitis” – assistant of the Department of Hospital Therapy №1 of DSMU Elvira Kasaeva; Musculoskeletal lesions in ICD” – associate professor of the Department of Hospital Therapy №1 of DSMU Salimat Zaglieva; “Aphthous stomatitis as an interdisciplinary problem” – assistant of the Department of Hospital Therapy №1 of DSMU Khanicha Ibragimova.
