DSMU has signed a cooperation agreement with Kursk Medical University

On Friday, June 11, the agreement on cooperation between Dagestan State Medical University and Kursk State Medical University was signed. Acting rector of DSMU Naida Mollaeva and rector of KSMU Viktor Lazarenko took part in the signing ceremony. The meeting was also attended by the director of the International Medical Institute of KSMU Shehine Mohammad Tufiq, vice-rectors, deans of faculties and heads of structural divisions of DSMU.

Opening the meeting, N. Mollayeva welcomed the guests of the republic and told about the history of DSMU. “Dagestan State Medical University is one of the oldest universities in the North Caucasus. Next year we will celebrate the 90th anniversary of our foundation. Our university has a glorious history and traditions, which we carefully preserve, while introducing modern technologies in the educational process,” said the Acting Rector. She also spoke about the achievements of the university in recent years in education, science, educational work, modernization of the property complex and much more.

Viktor Lazarenko, in turn, thanked for the warm welcome and introduced the participants to the history of KSMU. “Our university is a little younger, we were founded in 1935. Today, our university is one of the largest, most reputable medical universities in Russia, and has a high international reputation. Training, depending on the profile of the specialty and the form of education, is carried out at 12 faculties of KSMU in 78 main educational programs, ” he said..

Then the vice-rectors and deans of the faculties of DSMU were able to ask the guests questions, put forward proposals on possible forms of cooperation.

According to the document, DSMU and KSMU plan to conduct joint scientific research; plan, organize and conduct joint working meetings, scientific seminars, round tables, conferences and other events, including sending specialists and experts from each of the parties to participate in such events; prepare and implement joint publications, including scientific reports, articles, and textbooks, based on the results of joint scientific research and events.; to form, if necessary, commissions, groups and other associations of experts, including bilateral and multilateral ones; to develop and design joint scientific strategies, policies and programs, etc.
