A student of Dagestan State Medical University Asiyat Abakarova  took part in the final of the first All-Russian competition “Student of the Year. Doctors”, which  was hold to support young medical workers . She entered the top hundred in Russia and now she will fight for victory.

Now she is a fifth-year student in the specialty “Medical business” of DSMU. According to Asiat, in the first round, which was held in correspondence format, it was necessary to send their achievements in educational and volunteer activities, as well as a photocopy of the pages of the record book confirming academic performance. By the way, Asiat is not only a student with good knowledge, but also an active volunteer.

She is the head of the Volunteer Center of Dagestan State Medical University and the head of the regional headquarters of the All-Russian public movement “Medical Volunteers” of the Republic of Dagestan. Only in the last two years, Asiat has been awarded a commemorative medal for organizing the All-Russian campaign  #We are together  in the Republic of Dagestan, letters of thanks from the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin, the Head of the Republic of Dagestan and  Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Dagestan.

The organizers of the contest do not disclose to the participants what awaits them at the last test. The final itself will take place from November 26 to November 30 in Khanty-Mansiysk District – Yugra. In general, for winning the contest “Student of the Year. Doctors” initially fought guys from 40 regions of Russia. This competition is a special track of the Russian National Award “Student of the Year– – a joint project of the Russian Youth Union and the presidential platform “Russia is a country of opportunities”. It is aimed at identifying and supporting students enrolled in higher medical education programs in Russia.
