Experts exchanged experience in the field of anaesthesiology and reanimatology

On 18 November, the Dagestan State Medical University hosted a scientific and educational conference “Actual Problems of Critical Care Medicine”. The event was organized by the Dagestan State Medical University, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan and the All-Russian Public Organization «Federation of Anesthesiologists and Resuscitators».

The work of the conference traditionally began with the plenary session, at which the participants were welcomed by acting vice-rector for scientific work Naida Mollayeva on behalf of the leadership of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev: “Dear colleagues and friends! I am pleased to welcome everyone to the full-time school of the Federation of Anaesthesiologists and Resuscitators – All-Russian educational scientific-practical conference “Actual Problems of Critical Care Medicine”, which is held to improve the qualification of anaesthesiologists of our republic.

Then the plenary part of the conference began. It was opened by Vyacheslav Afonchikov, Deputy Chief Physician for Anaesthesiology and Reanimatology, Head of the Clinical Centre of Anaesthesiology and Reanimatology of the I.I. Dzhanelidze Emergency Medical Research Institute (St. Petersburg). Vyacheslav Sergeevich Afonchikov read the report “Traditional approaches in anaesthesiology and resuscitation”.

The report “Chronic Critical Condition” was delivered by the Head of the Department of Military Anaesthesiology and Reanimatology of the Military Medical Academy named after S.M. Kirov —Alexey Valerianovich Shchegolev, Chief Anaesthesiologist and Reanimatologist of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, Chief Specialist in Anaesthesiology and Reanimatology of the Healthcare Committee of the Government of St. Petersburg, Honoured Doctor of the Russian Federation.

The second report by Vyacheslav Sergeyevich was entitled “The concept of shock organs in polytrauma: a modern view of the problem”.

Further, leading Russian specialists shared their experience and knowledge with the audience at the conference:

¾     «Legal issues of the speciality» – speaker K.M. Lebedinsky – President of FAR, Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimatology named after V.L. Vanevsky of the North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov (St. Petersburg);

¾     “Regular adjustment of respiratory support parameters” – speaker A.I. Gritsan – Vice-President of FAR, Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimatology Institute of Postgraduate Education of Professor V.F. Voyno-Yasenetsky Krasnoyarsk State Medical University (Krasnoyarsk);

¾     “Tracheal extubation – modern approaches” – speaker V.I. Stamov – Associate Professor of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Professional Development of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Moscow);

¾     “Prevention of thromboembolism in intensive care unit” – speaker V.S. Afonchikov – Head of the Clinical Centre of Anaesthesiology and Reanimatology of the I.I. Dzhanelidze Research Institute of Emergency Care (St. Petersburg);

¾     “Training of clinical residents in anaesthesiology and resuscitation: organisation and results” – speaker A.I. Gritsan – Vice-President of FAR, Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimatology Institute of Postgraduate Education of Professor V.F. Voyno-Yasenetsky Krasnoyarsk State Medical University (Krasnoyarsk);

¾     “Critical conditions in obstetric practice” – speaker R.G. Bagomedov;

¾     “Additional professional education: opportunities and problems” – speakers A.A. Abusuev and M.N. Mustafaeva;

¾     “The use of simulation technologies in the training of clinical residents” – speakers A.Sh. Aselderova and N.D. Daniyalova.

In addition, the conference included master classes “Difficult airways – modern algorithms” (V.I. Stamov) and “Algorithm of respiratory support in acute respiratory failure” (A.I. Gritsan and Krasnoyarsk).

The conference was held at a high scientific and educational level and fully corresponded to the goals and objectives of the programme!
