In Honor of Patimat Muslimovna Nakhibasheva

The pediatrician, Honored doctor of the Republic of Dagestan, participant of the Great Patriotic War Patimat Muslimovna Nakhibasheva passed away on August 4. Many generations of Dagestanis, doctors, graduates of the medical institute, remember her as a wonderful doctor, pediatrician, who devoted her whole life to the health of children.

Patimat Muslimovna comes from a family of doctors. She was born in Chokh and was the only daughter of Muslim Yusupovich Nakhibashev. He was a man who went from an ordinary paramedic to the People’s Commissar of Health of Dagestan. He was appointed the first director of the Dagestan Medical Institute in 1932.

Patimat Muslimovna, having defended her dissertation in Moscow, began working at her native university. For more than twenty years, from 1963 to 1985, she was the head of the Department of Children’s Diseases of the medical faculty, taught, gave interesting lectures, and introduced doctors to the world of pediatrics. Honored Doctor of Dagestan, Associate Professor, Patimat Muslimovna Nakhibasheva, turned 98 yesterday.

The rector’s office, the teaching staff and the students of DSMU express their sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of Patimat Muslimovna and grieve with them.
