Intramural football tournament among students of the department of pediatrics

On Sunday, April 11, 2021, a football tournament was held among students of the pediatric Faculty of the Dagestan State Medical University.

The tournament was organized by the faculty of departmental and hospital pediatrics together with the sports club of DSMU and the Committee for Youth Affairs.

Six student teams of the Faculty of Pediatrics participated in the competition. Each of the teams showed their skills in this sport.

The tournament, according to the decision of the judges, was held according to the following scheme. At the first stage, the teams were divided into 2 groups, 3 teams each. The teams that took 1st and 2nd place in the groups made the playoffs. The first place of Group A played with the second place of group B.

At the end of the initial stages, the teams “Anzhi” and “Sturm”competed for the third place. And, finally, the teams “Chelsea” and “Pediatrics” reached the final, they persistently competed for the victory in the tournament

According to the results of the competition, the first place was rightfully awarded to the team “Sturm”, the second place was taken by the team” Chelsea”, and the winner was the team “Pediatrics”.

Football is a sport that allows you to improve your physical qualities, train strength, endurance, speed, strengthen your health, and also gives you the opportunity to develop in this direction and get achievements even at the international level. That is why our university has created conditions for holding such events, and also encourages students ‘ initiative in the sports field.
