Samara State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has started mass production of innovative domestic ceramic endoprostheses.

The devices were created by specialists of the NTI Competence Center “Bionic Engineering in Medicine” on the basis of the Samara Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, the university received a registration certificate for this product.

Endoprostheses have an adaptive anatomical design that is most similar to natural joint.

Hand and foot joint endoprostheses will be mass-produced.

They are used for endoprosthetics for osteoarthritis and post-traumatic joint changes.

The production of individual endoprostheses corresponding to the anatomical parameters of a particular patient will also continue.

The surgeon will decide whether to use a serial or individual prosthesis, depending on the trauma and the complexity of the case.
