Students of DSMU became prize-winners of the International online Olympiad «Followers of Avicenna»

Students of Dagestan State Medical University took part in the online Olympiad “Followers of Avicenna”, which was held on April 22-23, 2021 at the Tashkent State Medical Academy (Republic of Uzbekistan).

The Olympiad was attended by more than 500 people from near and far abroad, representing teams of more than 40 higher medical educational institutions of Uzbekistan, Japan, Poland, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Turkey, Tajikistan and the United States.

Rector of the Tashkent Medical Academy Alisher Shadmanov delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the Olympiad.

The jury consisted of representatives of the Tashkent Medical Academy, Kazan State Medical University, Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, Irio Sosei University (Japan), Bukhara Medical Institute, Vilnius University (Lithuania).

The international jury selected the winners in 10 categories of fundamental and clinical medicine.

The Olympiad was held in 38 disciplines in the field of medicine.

At the Olympiad, the DSMU was represented by students of 1-6 courses of the medical faculty.

The winners of the Olympiad were: in the section “Nervous diseases”, the 6th-year student Amirkhan Amirkhanov took the second place (head of Manysheva K. B.), in the section “Medical Biology”, the student Haji Tamirov took the third place (heads Rahimov R. M., Abdullayeva N. M.).
