Students of DSMU took part in the First Sino-Russian Summer School on Gastroenterology

The First Sino-Russian Summer School on Gastroenterology and a Forum of students and young Scientists of the Sino-Russian Association of Medical Universities (SRAMU) took place in an online format on the Zoom platform  from July 21 to 23, 2021.

It was attended by 30 people-senior students and residents of Russian and Chinese medical universities.

 The event was organized by the Institute of International Education of Harbin Medical University of PRC.

 Dagestan State Medical University was represented at the forum by students of the Faculty of Medicine:

Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Pyotr Vitalyevich Glybochko, Rector of Sechenov University, Co-Chairman of the SRAMU, addressed the participants of the Summer School with words of greeting from the Russian side: Professor Qui Bo — head of the Department of Gastroenterology of the Second Clinic of Harbin Medical University, deputy director of the clinic Professor Wu Yajun.

 Leading Professors of Harbin Medical University and Doctors of the Department of Gastroenterology of the Second Clinic of Harbin Medical University gave lectures and conducted master classes.

 On the first day of the summer school, the staff of the second clinic of HMU presented the following reports: “The effectiveness of intestinal flora: from basic research to clinical practice” (Jin Shizhu), “On the bacterium helicobacter pylori” (Hu Chen) and “Diagnosis and treatment of irritable bowel syndrome” (Sun Xiaoli).

During the second day, the following reports were heard: “Clinical practice of endoscopy of the digestive system: present and future” (Song Jitao), “Without scars-traces of the historical development of endoscopes” (Du Bing) and “Diagnosis and treatment of acute bleeding of the upper gastrointestinal tract” (Zhang Rui).

On the final day of the summer school, there were reports: “Serological markers and treatment of primary biliary cholangitis” (Fan Caowei), “There is such a pain in the abdomen” (Liu Minna) and “Diagnosis and treatment of IBD” (Li Hui).

The students were greatly impressed by interesting and informative lectures, new technologies. The analysis of clinical cases is perfectly presented, and this is all a great contribution to the participants’ knowledge collection.

Students and residents of DSMU have been taking part in projects within the framework of the Sino-Russian Association of Medical Universities (SRAMU) since 2016.

This unique project is designed to unite medical students from friendly nations, strengthen professional and cultural ties.
