A scientific and practical conference “Educational seminar ” Gajiyev readings” entitled “Modern trends in the development of therapeutic diseases” was held in the conference hall of the Department of Hospital Therapy No. 1 of Dagestan State Medical University on November 9, 2022.

   The organizers of the event were: FSBEI HE DSMU; Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan; Dagestan Scientific Medical Society of Therapists; Dagestan “Republican Clinical Hospital named after A.V.Vishnevsky”; Department of Hospital Therapy No.1 of DSMU.

   Professor of the Department of Hospital Therapy No. 1, chief freelance therapist, gastroenterologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasus Federal District Suleiman Mammaev addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech. He noted that “Gajiyev Readings” is an annual conference of Dagestan Scientific Medical Society of Therapists and it is dedicated to the memory of the founder of the school of therapists of Dagestan Republic  Khairutdin  Gadjiev.

  “Khairutdin Efendievich is a high example of love for his work. The first People’s Doctor of Dagestan Republic in the republic, an outstanding professor and scientist. He created the Dagestan Scientific Medical Society of Therapists, did a lot for the formation and development of the therapeutic service of the republic,” Suleiman Mammayev said.

 Acting Head of the Department of Hospital Therapy No. 1 Sazhid Zagliev told about the life and work of the great doctor in the report “Gajiyev Kh.E.: scientist, teacher, mentor”.

  He spoke in detail about the formation of Khairuddin Gajiyev as a doctor and teacher, about his biography starting from school, studying at Dagestan Medical Institute and graduate school. “Kh.E. Gajiyev is the initiator and organizer of the Dagestan Scientific Medical Society of Therapists, which he was heading for 50 years and remained its Honorary Chairman until the end of his life. He enjoyed authority among Russian colleagues, was elected an Honorary member of the Russian Scientific Medical Society of Therapists, an Honorary Cardiologist of Russia,” Zagliev stressed in his speech.

  The scientific part of the conference was opened by Suleiman Mammayev, who presented to the audience the report  “Intestinal microbiota and risk of cardiovascular diseases” .

   During the seminar, a number of interesting reports were presented: “New in the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension” – assistant of the Department of Hospital Therapy No. 1 of DSMU Ibragimova H.; “Modern aspects of cardiac resynchronizing therapy” – Associate professor of the Department of Hospital Therapy No. 1 Zaglieva S.; ” Chronic heart failure. Modern recommendations for diagnosis and treatment” – Assistant of the Department of Hospital Therapy No. 1 of DSMU Elvira Kasayeva, etc.
