Regular traditional annual career fair was held on April 14, 2021 at the Research and Educational Innovation Center of the Dagestan State Medical University.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation; the Employment Center in the municipality “City of Makhachkala”; the Dagestan State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan; the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan.

The meeting with the graduates was attended by deputy minister of labor and social development of the RD Sagid Magomedov; head of the personnel department of the RD Ministry of Health Artur Verdiev; head of the dental clinic Bayrambekov Ali Bayrambekov. The event was also attended by the deans of all faculties of the university.

The rector of the DSMU, Suleiman Mammaev, greeted the audience. “We are happy to welcome our guests today. We are always ready to cooperate with representatives of all organizations that want to see our graduates,” he said. The rector told a little about the history of the university, noting that next year the university will celebrate the 90th anniversary since its foundation.

“Today, graduates who are completing their studies in higher education programs (specialty and residency) came to a meeting with employers. Every year, we graduate about 800 students in these programs. No less important than educational content is given at the university and educational content, as it is a necessary part of professional competence,” S. Mammaev said.

He also touched upon the issues of employer-sponsored education “We have recently had a good percentage of target students, in particular, in the programs of pediatrics, medical care. 75% of admissions in recent years are targeted admissions. Also, in the residency, 80% of the admission is targeted. The university does everything to ensure that, first of all, the Republic of Dagestan and other customers have already found their own trained specialist».

Mamaev reminded about the responsibility of customers to monitor the individual trajectory of students; about the need to provide certain social support with their subsequent employment. He spoke in detail about the training centers, about the anatomical museum, about all the innovations that are being implemented at the university to improve the quality of training of specialists.

Director of the Employment Center of Makhachkala Zaurbek Hajiyev also welcomed all the participants. The labor market provides a lot of opportunities to find a job not only for graduates, but also for students. The purpose of our fair today is to express the interests of employers and graduates. He invited everyone interested to come to their Center with any questions.
