Dagestan State Medical University hosted a conference dedicated to the World Intellectual Property Day, which is celebrated on April 26. This year, the International Intellectual Property Day 2022 is dedicated to the theme “Intellectual Property and youth: innovation for the future”. Acting Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Naida Mollaeva made a welcoming speech on behalf of the Acting Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev, who told about the history of this day and noted the great work of the Department of Intellectual Property and Scientific and Medical Information of DSMU.                                                                                             

 Head of the Intellectual Property Department Eimisey Guseynova spoke about the participation of young scientists in scientific projects and achievements of the staff of Dagestan State Medical University, the role of participation of young scientists in inventive work, gave interesting examples. Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared 2022-2031 the Decade of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation. Among the main tasks of the decade are attracting young people to science, involving researchers and developers in solving important tasks for the country, informing about the achievements of Russian science.

The videos with congratulation the General Director of the World Intellectual Property Organization, Daren Tang, on the International Intellectual Property Day and a representative of the Department of Intellectual Property and Advanced Technologies were shown at the conference.

Associate Professor of the Department of Operative Surgery with Topographic Anatomy, Honored Inventor of  Dagestan Republic Gadzhimurad Patakhov presented a report “University innovations in practical medicine”. 5th year student of the Faculty of Medicine Surkhay Khamaev made a report “The most explosive medical technologies of our time”, Associate Professor of the Department of Operative Surgery with Topographic Anatomy Ilyas Kiblaev announced a report “Work in scientific circles – the first experience in science”, 5th year student of the Faculty of Medicine Abdurakhman Alibekkadiev  made a report “Surgical practice of students of DSMU – a step into science”. The reports were accompanied by vivid colorful presentations, which aroused great interest among the gathered students, graduate students and teachers.

Acting Vice-Rector for Medical Work Magomed Khamidov and Head of the Department of Operative Surgery with Topographic Anatomy Magomed Akhmadudinov expressed their wishes for success in science and studies, summing up the conference and congratulating the audience on this holiday.
