Chamsutdinov Nabi Ummatovich, born in 1960. He graduated from the medical faculty of the Dagestan State Medical Institute in 1983. He completed an internship in the specialty “internal diseases” on the basis of the Tula City Hospital №4 in 1983-1984. He worked as a district internist at the city hospital № 2 in Tula in 1984-1986. He worked as a pathologist and concurrently as a general practitioner in the Izberbash City Medical Association in 1986-1989. He was a full-time postgraduate student of the Department of Internal Diseases of the Pediatric and Dental faculties of the DSMI in 1989-1992. An assistant of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy of the Dagestan State Medical Academy from 1992 to 2004. Associate professor of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy of the Dagestan State Medical Academy from 2004 to 2009. Professor of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy of the Dagestan State Medical Academy from 2009 to 2013. Vice-rector for Innovation and Strategic Development of the Dagestan State Medical Academy from 2013 to 2016. He has been the head of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy of the Dagestan State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation since 2014 and to the present.

He has the highest qualification category in the specialty “internal diseases”. In 2000, he was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. He was awarded the honorary title “Honored Doctor of the Republic of Dagestan” in 2002. He was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences in 2005. The topic of the doctoral thesis: “Pathology of the gastrointestinal tract in patients with bronchial asthma and its therapeutic correction”.
He completed professional retraining in the FVE institution “Makhachkala Center for Advanced Training” under the program “Organization Management “(total-552 hours) in 2014. The diploma of professional retraining 052402097122 was issued by the decision of the FVE attestation commission “Makhachkala Center for Advanced Training” on December 30, 2014.

He completed professional retraining at the ATF and ATS of the DSMA under the program “Public Health and Health Organization” (total-576 hours) in 2015. The diploma of professional retraining PP-II No. 024014 was issued by the decision of the State Attestation Commission of 15.05.2015. Specialist certificate 0105240387866 in the specialty “Public health and health organization” was issued on 15.05.2015.

He completed professional retraining at the ATF and ATS of the DSMA under the “therapy” program (144 hours) in 2015. Specialist certificate 0105240390342 in the specialty “Therapy” was issued on 27.12. 2015.

He is the deputy editor-in-chief of the scientific and practical peer-reviewed journal included in the List of the Higher Attestation Commission “Bulletin of the Dagestan State Medical Academy” (Makhachkala) and a member of the editorial board of one international journal “Reports Scientific Society” (Thailand) and five Russian scientific and practical peer-reviewed journals included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission: “Prospects of Science” (Tambov), “Global Scientific Potential” (St. Petersburg), “Bulletin of New Medical Technologies” (Tula), “Clinical Medicine and Pharmacology” (Tula), “Bulletin of New Medical Technologies technologies” (electronic edition, Tula).

He has 235 scientific and educational works, including 3 monographs and 20 educational and methodological manuals for students and doctors, 12 research proposals. Under the scientific supervision of N. U. Chamsutdinov, four candidate dissertations have been defended and 2 more doctoral and 2 candidate dissertations are being performed.

She graduated from the Dagestan State Medical Academy in 2002. She completed a clinical residency at the Department of Family Medicine from 2002 to 2005, she completed full-time postgraduate studies at the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy from 2007 to 2010. She defended her PhD thesis on the topic: “Bronchoreceptor disorders in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease and their correction” in 2010. 13 printed works have been published. She worked at the Department of Internal Diseases of pedagogical/dental and medical/specialized faculties from 2011 to 2014. He has been working at the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy since September 2014.

 

Nadirova Zainab Abdulmuslimovna

Associate Professor of the Chair of Intermediate Level Therapy

Academic degree: Candidate of Medical Sciences.

She graduated from the medical faculty of the Dagestan State Medical Academy in 1991. From 1991 to 1992, she completed an internship in therapy on the basis of RSEMS.  She worked at the Department of Internal Diseases of the Pedagogical and Dental faculties as a senior laboratory assistant from 1992 to 2002, and then as an assistant and head of the educational part of the department. She defended her PhD thesis on the topic: “Bronchial asthma in the south of Dagestan, prevalence, environmental risk factors” in 2009. About 20 articles have been published, 5 of them in peer-reviewed journals. He has been working at the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy since October 2015.

 

Abdulmanapova Jariyat Nabievna

Associate Professor of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy

Academic degree: Candidate of Medical Sciences

Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Dagestan in the field of natural sciences for 2013.

He was born in 1984. She graduated from the medical faculty of the Dagestan State Medical Academy in 2006. She was employed as a clinical resident of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy from 2006 to 2010. She was a full-time postgraduate student of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy from 2010 to 2013. She worked as a part-time trainee researcher and assistant of the Department of Internal Diseases of pedagogical/dental faculties from 2013 to 2014. Assistant of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy from 2014 to 2016. Associate Professor of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy since 2016. 

She defended her Ph.D. thesis on: “Broncho-instructional diseases in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease and their treatment” in 2013.

100 scientific and educational works have been published under her guidance, including 11 articles in journals from the List of the Higher Attestation Commission, 1 monograph, 7 educational and methodological manuals for students and doctors, 5 research proposals.

 

 Magomedova Kamila Alievna

Assistant of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy.

She graduated with honors from the DSMA faculty of General Medicine  in 2010. She completed a clinical residency at the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy from 2010 to 2012. During the same period, she began her research work. She has mastered the methods of functional diagnostics – spirometry and bronchophonography. She completed full-time postgraduate studies in the specialty “therapy” from 2012 to 2015. The topic of the candidate’s dissertation “Application of acoustic analysis of respiration (bronchophonography) in the early diagnosis of respiratory diseases” was approved in 2013. In accordance with the approved research plan, research on this topic was conducted on the basis of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy. She has 45 published papers, including 4 in peer-reviewed central journals recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission. Magomedova K. A. is a member of the European Respiratory Society (ERS). Actively participates in the work of the SSC of the department (is the deputy chairman). She has a specialization in functional diagnostics.

 

 Magadova Galina Magadovna

Assistant of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy.

In 2012, she graduated from the DSMA faculty of General Medicine. From 2011 to 2012, as a student, she worked in the intensive care unit of the DCC and CVS. From 2012 to 2013, she completed a clinical internship at the Department of Hospital Therapy No. 1 and received a certificate in the specialty “Therapy”. In 2013, she underwent professional retraining at the RUDN (Moscow) in the specialty “Ultrasound diagnostics”. In the same year, the training center “SoMet” on the basis of the Federal State Budgetary Institution” Scientific Center of Cardiovascular Surgery named after A. N. Bakulev “of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences was trained on the topic”Ultrasound diagnostics of vascular system pathology”. She worked as a therapist in the patient rehabilitation center of Port-Petrovsk LLC from 2014 to 2016. She underwent professional retraining in the specialty “Cardiology” in 2015. A cardiologist at the RCH polyclinic No. 2 from 2016 to the present. Post-graduate student of the Department of Hospital Therapy No. 1 since 2016.

 

 Sarkarova Medina Ramidinovna

Assistant of the Department of Intermediate Level Therapy.

She graduated with honors from the medical faculty of the Dagestan State Medical Academy in 2015. She combined her studies at the DSMA with her work, working as a nurse in the therapeutic department of the State Medical Institution RD “CCH №1” from 2013 to 2015. She entered the clinical residency in the specialty “Therapy” at the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (I. M. Sechenov Moscow State Medical University) in September 2015, where she completed her studies in 2017. The first year of the residency was held in the therapeutic and cardiology departments of the S. P. State Clinical Hospital Botkin, and the second year in the clinic of Rheumatology, nephrology and occupational pathology named after E. M. Tareev.

She completed professional retraining in the direction of “Gastroenterology” at the I. M. Sechenov Moscow State Medical University in 2017.

She underwent professional retraining in the direction of “Ultrasound diagnostics” at the Federal Medical Biophysical Center named after A. I. Burnazyan in 2018.  

She entered the correspondence form of postgraduate studies at the I. M. Sechenov State Medical University in September 2018, at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases of the Medical Faculty, where she continues to study to the present.

She has been working as an outpatient gastroenterologist since 2018.

History

The Department of Intermediate Level Therapy of the Medical Faculty of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation was established in 1985 on the basis of the Department of Internal Diseases of the Pediatric and Dental faculties. The first head of the department was Professor Minkailov Kura-Magomed Omarovich, who headed the department from 1985 to 2013. The department has been headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Chamsutdinov Nabi Ummatovich since 2014. The discipline studied at this department was renamed into a discipline called “Intermediate Level Therapy, occupational diseases” in 2014.

The Department of Intermediate Level Therapy, headed by Professor N. U. Chamsutdinov, is located on the basis of the Makhachkala Clinical Hospital of the Southern District Medical Center of the FMBA of Russia. The number of beds in the departments: general therapy-45, neurology-30, gynecology-30, surgery-30, total-135.

Research work of the department

  • Neuroimunnoendocrine mechanisms of functioning of the gastrointestinal tract and lungs.
  • Epidemiology of gastroesophageal reflux disease in the Republic of Dagestan
  • Extraesophageal manifestations of gastroesophageal reflux disease: cardiac, bronchopulmonary, etc.
  • Optimization of treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease
  • Issues of early diagnosis, prevention and treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer disease.
  • Current trends in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the cardiovascular system: arterial hypertension, coronary heart disease.
  • Diagnosis and treatment of non-coronary myocardial diseases

The geography spread of scientific contacts of the department’s employees is extensive. These are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tula, Tambov, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Chita, Ulyanovsk, Stavropol, Nalchik and many other cities of Russia, as well as higher educational medical institutions, scientific and medical institutions of a number of countries: Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Ukraine. The staff of the department participated in the work of many congresses, congresses, conferences and plenums of international, Russian and republican scales.

The staff of the department annually holds republican, All-Russian and international scientific and practical conferences with the publication of scientific works on topical issues of medicine, including innovations in medicine and education.

The department has organized and conducted 5 All-Russian scientific and practical conferences with international participation “Innovations in Education and Medicine” since 2014, and 2 Republican scientific and practical conferences with international participation “Topical issues of Pulmonology” and 1 International Conference “Innovations in Medicine” with the publication of 10 collections of scientific papers based on the materials of the conferences held, which are posted in the RSCI and on the website of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

The department has a scientific student circle, where 12 to 20 people perform scientific research annually. The work is carried out in the current areas of therapy, cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology. In 2018, the department was the winner of the grant of the Head of the Republic of Dagestan in the field of science, technology and innovation for the joint student project “Earlier detection and differentiation of respiratory disorders in pregnant women”.

The department successfully operates postgraduate studies, clinical residency and internship. More than 25 clinical residents and 7 graduate students were trained at the department. 4 employees of practical health care performed candidate’s dissertations.

 

Educational work

 

The priority area of the department has always been and remains educational work with students through a specialty, profession. This task is served by regular conversations on issues of aesthetic and moral education, bioethics and humane attitude to the subject, future professional activities at morning conferences, lectures and practical classes. Employees of the department actively participate in sanitary and educational work among the population of the republic by holding republican and visiting seminars on the promotion of medical knowledge, speak on the radio, on television, in the periodic press.

 

Therapeutic work

Every day, the department conducts medical and advisory work in 4 departments of the Makhachkala Hospital “SDMC FMBA of Russia” (therapeutic, neurological, surgical, gynecological) and in the polyclinic. Employees of the department regularly travel to the districts and cities of the RD to conduct field seminars for practitioners. Up to 5-6 new methods of diagnostics and treatment of diseases of internal organs are introduced annually into the work of the Makhachkala Hospital “SDMC FMBA of Russia”.

 

Training

At the department of Intermediate Level Therapy, students of the 4th year of the medical faculty are trained. From 450 to 520 students study at the department in different years. Forms of training at the department: practical classes with the analysis of thematic patients, work in the diagnostic units of the basic hospital, independent work during medical practice, a lecture course in accordance with the curriculum, participation in clinical conferences held at the hospital, performing educational and research work, including in a scientific student circle.

Classes are held according to the cycle system in the VII-VIII semesters. The academic load is 360 hours (total-10 credits): practical classes per semester in the amount of 288 hours and 72 hours of lectures, of which 300 hours are spent on Intermediate Level Therapy and on Occupational illnesses is 60 hours. Practical classes are held in the following sequence: a test survey, analysis of the patient, mastering practical skills (ECG, radiographs, spirograms, computed tomograms, ultrasound of internal organs, interpretation of urine and blood tests, including biochemical, immunological, hormonal, etc.). Classes in the discipline are conducted in accordance with the curriculum in study rooms, hospital wards. At the end of the practical classes, the defense of the medical history, the test and the exam are conducted. In the VIII semester, students undergo an industrial internship, as a doctor’s assistant.

The department is equipped with computer and multimedia equipment that allows teaching at a modern level. When reading a lecture, video materials from the Internet are used. Test tickets are compiled for each practical lesson and colloquiums. In the format of a multimedia presentation, we have prepared: a macroscopic picture and endohistophoto of internal organs in various diseases, packages of cardiograms, phonocardiograms, radiographs, computed tomograms, spirograms, ultrasound of internal organs and educational and methodological documents. When conducting practical classes, video materials from the Internet are used. A selection of video materials was made on each topic, including animated educational films, lectures by leading Russian professors, video samples of patients and Internet sessions.

For each topic of classes, teachers have: multimedia presentation, videos, photo albums of illustrative material (ECG in normal and pathological conditions, phonocardiography, ultrasound of the heart in normal and heart diseases, ultrasound of the abdominal cavity in normal and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, kidneys., spirograms, radiographs, computer and magnetic resonance tomograms of internal organs, handouts (ECG, Phonocardiogram, ultrasound of the abdominal cavity, ultrasound of the heart, spirograms, clinical and biochemical blood tests, urine tests, sputum tests, coprograms, radiographs, computer tomograms, tasks, tests, archival medical histories). Twice a week, students make a multimedia presentation at cathedral conferences on various sections of therapy.

The department has published more than 40 educational and methodological works, including 5 educational and methodological manuals approved by the AMA (Moscow).

The Department of Intermediate Level Therapy has doctoral studies, postgraduate studies, clinical residency, clinical internship in the specialty “Internal Diseases”.
